Good Morning Candy!  Good morning OFF!
Well, it's Monday and I have one more week of vacation!  Yipee!  I have the largest wall of the tub surround pretty much done.  Today I plan to finish the surround and start the floor.  I am hopefull that by the end of this week to have a functioning bathroom again!  How cool will that be!  I had to get the new wet saw out yesterday to cut the 3" tile down to 2".  Oh boy.....Of course go****er all over.  Directions say to fill to fill line.  Can't find said fill line....so I put in way too much water evidently and water water everywhere!  Got that cleaned up and got going again.  working now.....I certainly do get wet using it!  Not much else to add to my boring life right now.  Have a good day all!

I've always thought I'd be a great tile layer-downer! Wish I was there to be your apprentice!

Good morning Candy and all,

I got up a bit earlier to get to work earlier. I want to get a bunch of stuff done so my co-workers get less of extra work as possible while I am gone. I know there are somethings that will come up but at least I can try to get most out of the way...

It was 103 here...didn't do my treadmill, just too hot. Wouldn't of even made dinner if Beth hadn't begged to have Mom's cooking...so made dinner, way to hot for me....but at least I wasn't dying like last summer.

I am getting so excited for our littel jaunt...

Gonna go up and walk the treadmill, hope it doesn't wake Beth...her first morning to sleep in for the whole summer....

Take care,
Cheryl

Good Morning All,

I am taking my mom to doctors appointment.  (well I am going with, not driving yet!:)  I am doing well, getting most of my protien in! Yeah!  (just had surgery Tuesday) Drinking and walking still!!!

Those are some early hours Candy, Better you than me! LOL

Karen, that kind of temp will make you want ot stay inside!  I didn't realize it got that hot up there in WA.

Kathi,  It sounds like you had a great weekend with the grandson!  I sure miss seeing mine often!

Joan, I loved CO when we visited and we also talked about retiring there. Life got in the way and we ended up back home!  We live about 50 miles from Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, NC and Fayetteville, NC.  Driving distance to everything! LOL  Quiet little town, cost of living not to bad.

Wishing you all a great day,

Vera, Washington has done a great PR job: The Evergreen State. True for the western "half" but here in my little corner of the worle, the southeastern corner of the state, it is almost a true desert. 6-8 inches of precipitation per YEAR and that includes a bit of snow. Without the rivers and irrigation there would be no towns here. However, it is not humid so that helps. However, once it gets over 100 I don't care if it's dry or not it is just plain hot! Knowing we would be in an apartment July and August this year a great air conditioner was a requirement! So we just stay out of it!

Good Morning all.

This is Boniva day for me, so I have to kill an hour before I can eat and take the other meds so decided to spend some quality time on OH. LOL!

Our oldest granddaughter starts 1st grade today. She is quite the little lady. I was at their house for a bit yesterday and she had to how me that she got her backpack ready for school by herself. All of her new supplies inside, labeld & ready.   She's excited to see her freinds from kindergarten and meet some new ones too. She already knows her teacher and said she is really nice.  The other one doesn't start till next Monday, 4 yr preschool, 3 days a week.  She said she'd rather come to "Nana School", it's more fun!  We work on things here that she needs extra help in with breaks for play time. But she will do fine, she has the same teacher as last year.

We played alot yesterday with our new WII FIT. Just love it. DD & SIL and grands all had to check it out.  I was able to do 10 mins on the step aerobics, Love the balance things they are fun, titlt board and downhill skiing. I have never skied in my life and I know this is not even close but it was so much fun after I loose so more weight who knows myabe I'll try the Bunny Hill. My brother and his family all ski. He used to work at a Ski Place in High School & College and is prety good I'm told. The only winter sport (?) I ever did was ice skate, but I used to love that, maybe winters will become fun again...especially with the grands, they like sledding and tobagganing.

Hope you all have a great day.  DH is off to the VA for labs & to pick up his Enbrel. He has 2 other VA doc appts within the next week. But it is worth spending the time & gas to go to the VA because we save $200 every time he picks up his Enbrel.  I'm going to do some mending for my daughter and fix some things for the grands with the hot glue gun, and do some mending of Barbie Doll clothes. Why do they make them so tight that the little girls have to rip them off. Maybe so you throw them away and buy new ??!?!!  I have made them a few dresses and I cut them a smidgon larger and it is so much easierfor them to change the clothes.

I think I'll go for a short walk, .see how it goes.  Hugs, paulette

One year many years ago I decided to make Barbie wardrobes for my nieces for Christmas. Man oh man, are those little seams and hems hard to do. My machine kept eating them, pulling them down in the teeth of the machine. Made me realize why they are so expensive!!
